Hospitality: Welcoming the Unwelcome Class

Taught by Josh Chen
Unfortunately, Christian churches today are often seen as unwelcoming to those who are on the margins of society (racial minorities, refugees, those with criminal records) or struggling with real brokenness (addiction, abuse, depression). Yet for centuries, hospitality was a deep and distinctive Christian practice. Using the text Making Room: Recovering Hospitality as a Christian Tradition, by Christine Pohl, we consider what it means to practice the welcome of God to those who might otherwise be unwelcome.
