I Want to Hold Your Hand

Friendship, Friends, and Being Friendly
Taught by Sam Heath and Zach Kirschner
Aelred of Rievaulx was a twelfth-century British monk and abbot. While his setting seems wildly foreign to ours, his description of friendship is hopeful, biblical, and possible. His plea to have Christ at the center of a friendship, as a third person in the room, is one we all desperately need. The class engages with his text Spiritual Friendship.
