Interested in ministries of mercy or diaconal service?
You are invited to attend a seminar Friday and Saturday, October 7 and 8, at Trinity. The Friday session is 6:30 to 8:30pm; Saturday's session starts at 8am with coffee and brief breakfast then continues until 1pm. You're encouraged to attend both sessions if possible. Trinity members will be joined by folks from other nearby churches.
Our main speaker is Randy Nabors, an engaging, thought-provoking, and wise speaker. Formerly senior pastor at New City Fellowship in Chattanooga, he is known for his work in mercy and justice ministries and his practical experience in building diverse church communities.
This seminar is about the essential role of mercy ministry and diaconal work in extending the worship, witness, and mission of the church in our time. It will underscore the biblical basis and spiritual nature of this work and its necessity for addressing issues of mercy and justice and building diverse communities. You will also gain insight into the complexities of working with the poor and people in need that goes beyond the theoretical as a tangible witness to the Lord Jesus in the brokenness of the world.
