Casey Kreines

Casey grew up in the Philadelphia area. He first became interested in playing music at age 13 when he learned to play the guitar. He played in a series of bands throughout high school and volunteered on the worship team at his church, New Life Presbyterian Church of Dresher, PA. Through playing on the worship team, he met his wife, Janae, with whom he would eventually go on to lead worship for years to come. Although his initial career goals lay in athletics, he enrolled in a recording arts school after high school and interned at a local recording studio, Kawari Sound, where he became impassioned with the music-producing process. During this time, he also experienced the transforming power of the Gospel in new and amazing ways that, mixed with his passion for music, led him to actively pursue the path to becoming a worship leader. Casey furthered his education through Berklee College of Music, earning a B.A. in songwriting and music production. Casey and Janae were married in 2017 and continued to live in the Philly area where they had their daughter Vera in 2021. They moved to Charlottesville in April of 2022 to become the Interim Directors of Worship Arts at Trinity.
