In the post-modern age in which we live, purpose is often considered meaningless and truth is relative. Yet Scripture shouts a much different message. It boldly proclaims that God has a plan, a design and purpose. He gives gifts to His children and calls them into service.
While this course includes the biblical teaching about spiritual gifts
and how each individual has a place in the body of Christ, it also seeks
to reach more deeply and broadly into the big picture of God's plan and
purpose. What does it mean to be a "living sacrifice"? What does
the Word teach us about purpose and call? How does one find fulfillment
in life, or should it even be a goal to strive for fulfillment in what we
do? How do we glorify God and enjoy Him?
You are invited to study God's purpose, call and gifting of His children.
You should attend this class IF any of the following are true:
- You have never studied the biblical basis of Spiritual gifts.
- You don't know your Spiritual gifts.
- You are a student and wonder how your spiritual gifts and call in the body of Christ fit in with your studies and future vocation.
- You often feel "lost in the crowd" at Trinity. It seems there are so many capable people. Where could you possibly be of service?
- You are a busy and active member of Trinity. But you are "burned out" in service. You are serving out of guilt or duty rather than joy.
- You are new to Trinity and want to find a place to "plug in."
