When a little boy is seven, the Women’s Federal Corrections Facility in Fort Worth, Texas, might as well be at the edge of the earth. He certainly wouldn’t expect a gift from his mother who resides there.

You and your family can be the hands and feet of Christ in helping make Christmas a little less lonely for a child like this by participating in the Angel Tree effort. On Sunday, November 29, there will be paper ornaments on trees in the link room that represent children of incarcerated parents. Each ornament has the child’s name, gender, and age, and the parent’s name with a message and a wish list.

Please choose a child or children. All gifts for these children need to be new items. After you have chosen an ornament and purchased a gift(s), please wrap it and affix the top portion of the self-adhesive ornament to the present. Gifts are to be returned to the Angel Tree table no later than Sunday, December 13.

Another way to show God’s Love (and receive a blessing as well) is to sign up for delivery on Saturday, December 19, from 9:15am to noon. Contact Bob and Fran Fleischman at 434-295-8355 or email ffleisch@efleisch.com.

Many thanks for shining God’s Light by participating in Angel Tree.
