Seeking the renewal of all things through Jesus Christ

Israel and the Church

Taught by Bill Wilder

Is the church the goal of Israel’s long history before Jesus or is it a temporary parenthesis within God’s ongoing plan for Israel? How should we think about the relationship between the Old Testament (Israel) and the New Testament (church)? What about the relationship between present-day Israel and the church?

These questions have provoked no little controversy within Christian churches, particularly within the past century and more. Join us for an irenic overview of the two main views within Evangelicalism (dispensational and traditional/Reformed) along with an introduction to an emerging biblical perspective within Reformed (and other) circles that captures the strengths of both.
