Seeking the renewal of all things through Jesus Christ

Noemi Dumalaug

Translators Association of the Philippines

Noemi Dumalaug works among the Ata Manobo and the Dibabawon people groups of Davao Del Norte, Southern Mindanao, Philippines as a literacy specialist. Her role is training trainers for literacy facilitators’ training, facilitating development of literacy materials to be used for teaching reading and writing to both children and adults, program planning, and other activities to help the indigenous church be equipped in ministering to their members.

Noemi quotes Donald Chapman: “Literacy is a very useful and effective tool in making disciples. It is also a useful tool in the spiritual growth of new believers. One of the motives of new believers in desiring to learn to read is so they can read the Bible for themselves.”
