Sabbath

Following are audio files for a class on Sabbath with recommended resources for learning more about the Sabbath and how to make it part of your regular spiritual practices.

Practicing Rest in a Restless World

Class taught by Bo Waldo

What is the Sabbath? Is it a burden or a blessing? Why is it one of the ten commandments? Do we have to observe it today? How do we even do that? This class will explore the different ways people understand what the Bible says about the Sabbath, and will seek to offer extremely practical advice on how we can make room for rest in our busy lives. There will be teaching, discussion, a question panel, and an opportunity to practice a Sabbath moment in this class. Come with your questions, frustrations, and ideas so we can learn from each other what it means to practice rest in a restless world.
