A safe, welcoming nursery for ages infant–4 is available during the worship services.

Nursery Registration

General Nursery Logistics

The nursery rooms are as follows:

  • Infants/Walkers (birth–23 months)
  • Jumpers (2–3 years)
  • Pre-S (3–4 years)

—Nursery check-in is done at the Nursery kiosk, inside the Nursery entrance: go through the double doors leading from the lower parking lot found to the left of the main entrance. A nursery worker will check in your child and provide you and your child with matching labels, one of which is adhered to the back of your child’s shirt and remains until pickup. You will then walk your child to their assigned nursery room for dropoff.

—If your child becomes ill or requires your attention during the service (for example: crying more than 10 minutes after dropoff), a worker will contact you with the provided pager to let you know to come pick up your child.

Safety Practices and Protocols

—Our nursery rooms follow a specific adult:child ratio required of childcare centers as set by the state of Virginia.

—All nursery volunteers and staff have been vetted through a background check and were required to provide several references. Volunteers and staff are trained on a yearly basis.

—Bathroom trips and diapering are done with two adults in sight of each other and the child at all times.

—Each nursery room is required to have at least two adults present at all times.

—No child will be left alone with only one adult at any time.

—Masks are optional for children in nursery.
