Rebecca’s first introduction to cross-cultural missions began with Serge’s Missionary Apprentice Program in Dublin, Ireland (2005-2009). Since then, she has dedicated her life to missionary care, specifically focusing on transition points for families. Rebecca taught children and young adults at Mission Training International in Colorado in pre-field training, language acquisition, and re-entry programs (2011-2015). She then served with NEXT, Mission to the World’s ministry to the next generation as she completed her Master’s degree in Educational Ministries at Covenant Theological Seminary.

In 2019, Rebecca moved to St Andrews, Scotland to continue working with NEXT as well as for The Chalmers Institute, a learning community that provides a rigorous study of theology for European women and men, preparing them for biblical leadership in the church and in society. In January, 2022 Rebecca returned to Serge’s home office staff as an Associate Team Leader for Member Care.

Member Care concerns the spiritual, emotional, and physical well being of the staff member starting at the missionary's appointment to the field through the end of their employment. This type of care promotes the lengthening of staff member service, and with God’s help, staff member fruitfulness for the sake of the Kingdom. Her particular focus will be on whole-family resiliency and caring for missionaries in their first term and at critical transition points.
