These are challenging days. Any single crisis would be significant, but the combination of pandemic, racial injustices, economic distress, and social unrest...well, that's a lot. The Lord is our refuge. He is our comfort and strength. He is our hope and peace.

We are together in these times. I want to remind you that the church has never closed. While our church building is closed temporarily, we, the church body, have continued to be united in Christ and His mission. This physical separation, though challenging, has only increased our longing to regather with one another. Oh, what a joy that will be when the saints can gather together again safely! And so, as we think about what the regathering process looks like, we want to inform you of the ways in which the church is moving forward.

In this video, you will learn more about the highlights of Phase 1 of "Regathering Worship."

Online Worship
• Will move to a live premiere that will broadcast at 8:30 and 11:15am starting Sunday, June 14
• Moderated interaction will occur to promote intentional community

In-Person Worship
• Will be gradually introduced in Phase 2 and fully introduced in Phase 3

Communion
• Will first take place on Sunday, June 28, in the afternoon
• A tent in the lower parking lot will accommodate people in safe seating
• For those who cannot attend under the tent, a drive-in service will occur simultaneously with live broadcasting
• Elders will also try to bring communion to those congregants who cannot safely leave their homes

Church Building
• Minimal use of the building is allowed
• Only staff will be allowed in for specific purposes

The Session, Diaconate, and Staff have prayerfully and thoughtfully sought wisdom in how to begin this regathering process. Thank you for joining us in this process. Many of you have sent encouraging words to our staff and leadership, and for that I am thankful. I assure you that everything will be done with the utmost care and will adhere to CDC, state, and local guidelines. I invite you to continue to pray for God's wisdom and protection for our community. Now, more than ever, we must encourage one another and build one another up in Christ.

In Christ,

Pastor Walter
