REOPENING SURVEY—DEADLINE SATURDAY, MAY 23

The pandemic has affected us all in different ways. As Trinity's Leadership prayerfully plans toward reopening, please share what you are experiencing and hoping. We want to hear from everyone, including students grade 6 and up. Please take 8–10 minutes to complete the survey as soon as possible. The survey will be removed at 11:00am on Saturday, May 23.

Being the Hands and Feet of Jesus

Due to the generosity of Trinity's congregation we've been able to minister to expressed needs of our congregation as well as others in the community. 265 Spanish-speaking households have requested assistance during the COVID-19 crisis. We have delivered groceries to 60 households (in our partnership with Loaves & Fishes), diapers to 57 households, and made personal visits to 125 households where we have provided some level of financial assistance with rent and/or utilities. Eighty individuals have a bilingual Trinity prayer partner. Charlottesville Community Church and Cornerstone Community Church have joined with us to meet some of these needs as well.

Two weeks ago, we launched a Comida Espiritual (Spiritual Food) Spanish language community group led by Joe Magri and Frank Matthews (our presbytery's Latinx mission director), which was attended by nine people who all expressed that they do not have a church home in Charlottesville. It is our hope and prayer that this group will continue to grow as they will meet weekly in parallel to the other Trinity community groups.

Special Family Resource for This Week

This Sunday churches around the world mark the ascension of Jesus into heaven 40 days after Easter. Next Sunday we will celebrate Pentecost when the gift of the Holy Spirit was given. So starting this Sunday, May 24, through the following Sunday, we invite families to engage in a study of the Fruit of the Spirit culminating in a family Pentecost party on May 31! Fellows Commissioning June 7

Our 2019–20 Class of Trinity Fellows will be commissioned during the worship service on June 7. As we haven't been able to see them in person lately, here's a slide show for you to enjoy.

How You Can Help

WE NEED DIAPERS! We are low on diapers and wipes. This Saturday Trinity deacons and lay volunteers will deliver diapers to 62 families! If you feel led to contribute a pack or more, you can drop them off at Trinity on the front covered porch. Please sign up here. Our biggest need is for sizes 5 and 6. We are very low or out on those!
