IN BRIEF
Mid-Year ReportMid-Year Report from Your Church
We are the beloved bride of Christ. We are definitely still a work in progress, but God has given to each of us the manifestation of His spirit for the common good (1 Corinthians 12:7). You are an important part of the body of Christ. Please take some time to read this Mid-Year Report, so that you can praise God for what He has done during this difficult time and pray for this upcoming fall. To God be all glory!

Officer Nominations Requested
The Officer Development Ministry Team will receive nominations on behalf of the Session through Sept 15. Go to this page for the nomination form and a brief guide to the process by which our officers are identified and trained.

"Talking about Politics at Church"
Charlie DrewThe prospect of having political conversations at church makes many of us anxious. Why should we risk the conflict? And if we take the risk, how can we do so lovingly and constructively? Charlie Drew (a retired PCA pastor who worked at Trinity many years ago) believes that the church ought to be the safest place to talk about politics. In this contentious election season, we have invited Charlie to help guide us. He will lead us in a webinar to include small group discussion, private reflection, prayer, and worship. Charlie's seminar will help kick off a longer course on politics and Christian discipleship coming in late September. Charlie is the author of a recently published book, Surprised by Community: Republicans and Democrats in the Same Pew. The seminar will take place Saturday, Sept 19, 9:30–11:30 AM. Registration info coming soon.
